Page orientation defines the direction for printing or displaying the document in Word, but onedoes not have to be the same for the entire document. Usually, the whole article, paper, orreport is printed in the Portrait mode, but for a page with the big table, it is moreconvenient to use the Landscape mode. On the Layout tab in the Page Setupgroup, you can easily change the page orientation both for the entire document and for asingle page. Microsoft Word inserts sections breaks before and after the selected page, andyou can add more pages to this section later.
I want to be able to list dates on the right side of a resume. On the left side would be the job description and company and on the left would be dates like this:COMPANY 1996-1997job TitleJob descriptionCOMPANY 1995-1996job Titlejob descriptionI have been eyeballing it but I thought there was a way to do it with tabs.So I tried to set a either a center or a right tab at the margin. But it is not working. My document has 0.5 margins top bottom, left and right. Now my question is: if I go to the tab dialogue box where do I set the tab stop at exactly?I want the dates to end at the right margin as you see above.I don't want to start typing the date and then have it jump to the next line before I finish. I have to have it all on one line and flush with the right margin. The dialogue box wants to know exactly where to set the stop. I have to select the type of tab and type in a number. Is there a way generally to figure out where to put a tab stop if you want it on the right margin?I imagine I would subtract whatever the margin is-in this case 0.5 from the length of the entire page.
But how much is the entire page?
